Chronic Depression – Can a Long Term Solution Be Found?

Sunday, January 17th, 2010

Image taken on by .
Treatment for depression has come a long way in recent years. Most people who have depressive symptoms for more than a few weeks now have a selection smorgasbord of different antidepressants may be prescribed for them by their physician. Although it normally takes 3-4 weeks for most people to draw the drug into their system is sufficient enough to serve, most of these patients can be back on track after a few months to take the medicine. But what about those individuals who have chronic depression? People who suffer from chronic depression is a serious disease that once diagnosed, requires continuous and regular doses of antidepressants. Those with chronic depression to continue to take medication under the supervision of their doctor, the time required to maintain a ‘normal’ chemical balance in the brain that helps them to live a normal life and productive. Recently, many individuals who suffer from chronic depression, has built up a tolerance for their treatment. This problem is not isolated to antidepressant drugs, so many people build a tolerance for what they take time. However, most of the antidepressants actually intended for “normal” per se, individuals and short periods. In other words, people with real problems have been addressed when these drugs were created. There are other treatments available, such as light therapy, shock therapy, electromagnetic therapy, etc.. The problem here is that some people can not use these treatments because of other existing conditions. Moreover, the pacemaker of the vagus nerve of people more uncomfortable because it must be placed under the skin. Even when there is no guarantee of success. Neither the researchers or doctors to understand why the human brain goes from fine to course to become unbalanced. One theory is that aging of the brain, but this theory is not suitable for patients who now twenty-five years and has been a problem since they were fifteen. That only ten years and are not consistent with the theory. Research carried out aggressively to find answers to those who have these problems in the long run, but the answers come slowly, if the individual current medication stops working when there is a real problem for these people to continue living a normal life. Chronic depression is a very serious condition that can easily take over that person’s life, affecting their work and their relationships with family and friends. The biggest challenge for researchers is the fact that so many people react differently to depression drugs on the market. They have a very solid plan to work while creating something new. At that time the only thing that can be made for persons suffering from chronic depression is to keep trying different combinations of drugs on people, hopefully, the doctor may find the combination that will be useful, maybe in the long term. We can only hope that a permanent and lasting solution will be found soon for these individuals.

A Look at Chronic Depression

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

Image taken on by .
This is less shocking life of major depression, but who makes it miserable. There is a constant vacuum which varies from being mild to moderate. There is a sadness that stays with you. Lasts more than 2 years. Most people can continue working, continue operations and management to have sex. But just beneath the surface is negative, pessimistic. You never really happy or content. Moreover, if a major stress in your life, you can move into a depression. Depression is a strong feeling of sadness, usually for six to nine months. When depressive symptoms disappear after a while “before he returned once more, we talk about chronic depression. All experiences grief at some point. These feelings tend to diminish with time. Chronic depression is a prolonged and interferes with daily activities, but not as serious as depression . You can continue to move forward, but I ask you why you should. Symptoms: Sad-mood-no interest in usual activities, loss of enthusiasm-Fatigue Restlessness Keeping self-irritability-are easily distracted difficulty making decisions, difficulty, addressing the changes to avoid social contact, many physical complaints without base-Being slow and sluggish, difficulty sleeping or sleeping too much in mind, is the depression as a chronic low-grade fever. He turns around and makes you feel depressed, hurt, and do not know what they should do about it. You only know that you can not go forward at full speed and do not want anyway. I know people with chronic depression, which can never experience true happiness and joy. This is because they spend most of their time just trying to survive and meet basic needs. They do not have the energy for much else. Meet Doug suffering from chronic depression: Doug is 45 and tells you if you’re interested, he never felt happy. He says there have been borrowing and downs, but he just does not get the view that his life has amounted to much. He was married and divorced twice. The woman was married to him that was remote and had a difficult time and proximity. His former wife told him that he needed therapy because he knew he did not like him much. Doug know that he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders and just can not help it. is five nights a week, stopping in a bar, hoping to connect with someone. He knows he drinks too much, but the only thing that seems to take it all. He did not fear the future and believes that has not done much. He lives in an apartment and think that now you should be more stable and have roots. His mother is old and has a difficult time to think about that when she is gone he will not have someone who really cares about him. He thinks the time is past him and it’s too late for him to make major lifestyle changes. He hope that perhaps will be a heart attack as his dad and I on it once and for all. And Connie: Connie is 36 and has never been married. Have had many questions and wonder why it always ends with guys who mistreated. She is a teacher and says that the only good that is done is to keep kids under control and said he did not seem to want to learn. She would like to do something different, but the needs of current income and benefits. He had to take time off work with his back problems and was sent to every test imaginable. The doctor says he can not find any physical cause for her pain. Tiene demanding needs of painkillers because his back hurts and should be able to teach a living. Have a friend who seems to be in the same boat and talk about how men seem to disappoint them. Connie is always on the lookout for a new diet, always talking about having to lose 20 pounds, but I can not stick to any plan. You call yourself a fat ass and becomes very low. While you look at the future and she wonders if it will ever change, if it will ever be happy. “His doctors have suggested that they might want to see a counselor, but his friend went for therapy and seems better. So she just continues to do same thing every day. If you or someone you love suffers from chronic depression, it is hard row to hoe. There is no room for optimism in your brain and fumbled just keep putting one foot before the other and try to deal with so best we can. E ‘a bad life and what you can change if you want. The problem of chronic depression is that the person who suffers and the people around him or her is not too happy with how the person acts. You can slip back into our society by people without noting whether you are happy or not. Only you can decide if you want to take steps to change your life 100% for the best

What are the chances that chronic depression leads to schizoprenia?

Friday, January 8th, 2010

Image taken on 2006-08-31 03:29:11 by saklasthefool.
Someone close to me has been battling depression for 17 years now. She is doing a good job, has held on to a demanding job for 4 years now. Though her performance at work are highly erratic. Periods of poor apathetic performance interspersed with periods of high performance.

She shows sympotm of chronic depression, withdraws from social life, has low energy, can spend days in bed, is messy etc. She’s on medication too.

I fear that the next phase will be schizoprenia. She’s 32 now and has been suffering from depression since she was 15.
Though I said her performance at work is erratic, i dont think it is suggestive of bipolar. She has been fired once before for apathy at work. Since then she is scared to lose her job. When her poor performance at work gets noticable and she thinks her job is in danger, she bucks up and works harder.

And she cannot unfortunately retire from work. She lives in a country that dosen’t give benefits. And her aged parents cannot take care of her. She has to earn her living. She would very much like to reyire or atlease work part time, but is unable to do so.

Chronic Depression – How To Handle Its Symptoms

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

Image taken on by .
Various forms of treatment for depression cronicaQuesta form of depression lasts for a while, maybe 2 years, and a personal experience and on. I really do not disappear completely, but it keeps coming back, even if it might not be as grave. Medici and therapists try different treatments, such as group therapy and counseling before putting a person with the drug. Some people can react and avoid antidepressants and drugs, but if all else fails, your only option is to invest in drugs that are not really a solution permanente.Depressione chronic Known As DysthymiaDistimia, which is a form of chronic depression, it is not a serious disease, and not stay dysfunctional, but will take several forms, notably a lack of concentration, feelings of hope about life, the tendency to take their own life and a total lack of confidence. These feelings remain with one person per day and can last for a long time, even years. Even if you can get on with your life, these feelings you cramps and you feel sorry that your life is not worth niente.Distimia can occur at any time during a person’s life – is not confined to a particular age group – that can affect both young and old. Since there are no visible symptoms that can affect bodily functions, and a person can carry out their data, it is extremely difficult to locate. However, this condition can not be neglected, it goes away by itself, then treatment should be pursued to create the right condizione.Se treatment is required in advance, will stop the condition and prevent it from turning into something so serious to be treated with antidepressants and drugs that are very strong and may have continued almost uninterrupted. Many doctors have come across cases not responding to treatment, but do not lose heart, because there are several other forms of treatment, and you can consult your doctor, who will be able to recommend a good therapist who will manage the care richiedono.La important thing is to realize that you are feeling low and do not seem to enjoy life, and tend to shy away from people because of lack of confidence. The is also necessary to evaluate the time they did so, and the symptoms seem to arise that prevent us from living a full life. Once this is identified, you can take the next step, asking the assistance needed.

Depression is not something that will just one day. It’s usually something that builds towards based on the amount of bad contracts, with the passage of time and how an approach to adversity. The dose has many symptoms. Generally these symptoms are obvious if you know what to look for. Often a person can only reduce symptoms such as passing a sentence or a case of the blues. This tends to be particularly true for women. Unfortunately, when these symptoms are ignored they become more difficult to escape, without medical care or professional.

When you receive the blues may seem easy to ignore. However, this can aggravate the situation more and more on the road that leads to depression. If you do not get outside help or fit of depression on their own behalf, which could be a phase of depression for several years. They can also begin to believe their condition and feelings are normal. Without professional help for an often ignore symptoms and enamel only on their feelings or down a game altogether.

A look at chronic depression and it’s treatments and symptoms

Other extended form of depression, chronic depression or Dysthymia is less severe but chronic form of a thought. Dysthymic depression does not prevent a person to perform common tasks, but prevents him from running them as well as it could. It is believed that some of the reasons for dysthymia may be a childhood injury, impaired adaptation during the youth constructive or strain in adulthood. People with dysthymic depression may remain low for a longer period, rather than originating with days lasting up to two years. Dysthymic Depression is a mental illness is still moderately common and generally affects approximately 3-5 percent of the company. Although the symptoms of depression, dysthymic very similar to manic depression, is not as serious as these tend to be eliminated or wrongly perceived as a matter of psychosomatic illnesses. This is the type of depression that I dealt with my entire life. The feelings of pain and prolonged “feeling down” was found to be dysthymia. For years I had many wrong diagnosis because I started getting headaches and upset stomach, which landed my doctor to believe that I had a psychosomatic illness, which is the term used when no physical injuries seen blossoming in the body. It is inspired to believe that the reason is strictly mental. Harvard Health Publications is said to be “bad dysthymia was the Greek word for” some of mind’As two primary state of clinical depression, is usually less dangerous symptoms of depression but lasts longer. “At least three-quarters of patients with dysthymic depression also experience a chronic disease in the body or any other psychiatric disorder, as one of anxiety disorders, substance abuse and alcoholism. Big Care Journal we read that dysthymia” affects about 3% of the population and is associated with impairment of the groundwork. “Harvard Health Publications says:” The degree of depression in family units for individual dysthymic depression is as high as 50% of early-onset form of the disease. “Unfortunately, even this type of depression is fairly simple majority of persons with dysthymic depression not say for sure the first time they fall into depression, leading to the diagnosis very difficult sometimes. Give your doctor if this type of chronic depression

An Introduction to Chronic Depression

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

Image taken on by .
Dysthymia is another name for chronic depression. This illness can be serious although not as severe as bouts with Major Depression. Many people don’t even realize that someone they know is burdened with Chronic Depression. Having a regular life is very possible for people with this condition. It’s not unusual for them to continue everyday activities such as attending school or having a social life without great difficulties. This is due to the fact that the scars caused by this illness do not appear on the outside of the body but on the inside. There are both physical and mental results from this disease. Shaking, dizziness, or a fever won’t result from Chronic Depression. You will not typically develop a rash. But you may well feel helplessness, worthlessness and hopelessness. The afflicted may experience problems with sleep patterns like insomnia. The disease can leave the victim with a constant sad or empty feeling that consumes them . Usually those affected by the disease may also experience episodes of thinking about death or suicide . Usually people with chronic depression do a good job of hiding these signs. When mental illness exists you have to look very closely for signs and symptoms. They’re not always clear . When you are approaching an illness such as Chronic Depression there are a few major options for treatment. One of the most popular approaches is Psychotherapy. You confront the mental ailment with a mental solution. Through psychotherapy the doctor seeks the cause of depression and to create a positive outlook for the patient. Anti-Depressants that help to stem the spread or worsening of the condition are another option. It’s best to use both approaches at the same time. Although Chronic Depression is not Major Depression it can certainly lead to it. Therefore, as in with any illness, early detection of the illness cannot be underestimated. Normally, Chronic Depression becomes a problem when it gets to the point that the illness begins to cause problems in everyday life. It’s really time to act when employment or other outside activities begin to suffer. It’s not time for a straight jacket for people who suffer from Chronic Depression. They have problems that need to be addressed and approached with care and support. Everyone is vulnerable to the possibility of facing this disease. Therefore, knowing what it is may one day assist you in facing it personally for yourself or for someone you love.
