I think if I had one word to describe this book about the treatment of depression, of course, I would say it was balanced. It is based on Ayurveda, which is a traditional mind-body medicine in India, the main theme here is that nature and your body and mind are aspects of a single continuum of intelligence. But if you buy into it or not, makes no difference, because the book has some good strategies for the treatment of depression by identifying how. . .

BRAVO to Dr. Nancy Liebler and Sandra Moss in the most practical, but in depth, how-to-book that I read on the demand for natural healing methods for depression. I particularly appreciated the direct language used to explain the application of Ayurveda for mental health. The authors do not isolate itself from the language of Ayurveda, as I often have seen in other books in this discipline, but in a language variable in the tooth to make the book more readable for the general audience. As a psychologist for nearly 30 years, I can assure you this book is high on my list of recommended reading for my patients. That’s what everybody wants on our coffee table as a constant reference.

As a therapist, I am always looking for books that can help my patients to find new insights about themselves and better ways to deal with toxic stress in their lives. Dr. Nancy Liebler and Sandra Moss, the book is an excellent resource. It is a simple reading of the ancient wisdom of ayurvedic medicine to the problem of depression. I found a definition of the three types of depression, and discussion of particular methods of healing for each informative. In addition, the authors provide many useful tips on how to create inner peace and wellbeing through the integration of yoga, proper breathing techniques, meditation and diet. This book is not just cure depression, it is to live a better life!

Nancy Liebler and Sandra Moss have collaborated to write a prescription for the malaise that afflicts millions of us in these most difficult times. The method of mind-body healing depression, is a practical guide to creating happiness and remove the cloud of depression and anxiety. The book gives a good “how-to” — Here are some basic steps and much common sense, based on practical medicine and universal truths and methods that were developed and tested over centuries. The way the mind-body is not misleading, mystical or dogmatic. It is rather a step by step guide on mental health and physical well-written for the masses. This is a must read for all interested in this topic or want to overcome the chains of depression.

If drugs and psychotherapy have failed – to buy this book. I’m careful with sweeping programs that require an entirely new vamping of their lives. Lieber Moss and give a very practical, realistic, useful that can be easily integrated in order to regain balance. I had a good time to assess my imbalances (and my friends!) The mind-body survey. EXCELLENT read.
